Wall Street Week AheadReuters
U.S. companies are sounding the alarm on fourth-quarter earnings, lowering profit estimates just as the stock market is poised to end its best year since 1998.

Weekly FocusDanske Bank
Upswing sends yields up - but only slightly and short term. We expect another strong retail sales report from the US.

Global Week AheadNordea
USA: Nov retail sales (Thu) are expected to increase 0.5%, mainly driven by auto sales. The consensus is looking for a 0.2% rise in the so-called retail sales control group. Euro area: Industrial production numbers for October (Germany on Monday, France and Italy on Tuesday, Euro area on Thursday) will give a hint on whether the stability of sentiment indicators also holds true for hard data.  We expect a small increase of production following the 0.5% m/m decline in September.

StrategyDanske Bank
A positive supply shock = low inflation and higher growth.  We are in for another era of low inflation and stronger growth - as seen before.

FX Outlook: Dollar heavy  Marc to Market
Contrary to what many, including ourselves thought, the expected divergence of monetary policy between the Federal Reserve tapering on one hand, and the European Central Bank (and Bank of Japan) which likely to have to provide more monetary support next year on the other hand, has not spurred a US dollar rally against European currencies.  There is little reason to expect this to change, from a technical point of view.
